Arlindo Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Casaus in the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s Bo Ståhlberg got a free kick in the 20th minute. Arlindo Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 23rd minute of play. Jimeno Henrics short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Thiago Pliego to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gong Zhan Chen, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ defense, Orlando Casaus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arlindo Rossi. The └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arlindo Rossi should have stopped the shot. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nestor Batista charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nestor Batista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jimeno Henric made a kick off. Jimeno Henric took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldo Simão in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Simão in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Casaus in the 60th minute of play forced └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s goalkeeper Arlindo Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s goalkeeper Arlindo Rossi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 69th minute Jimeno Henric shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gong Zhan Chen in the 70th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimeno Henric couldn't finish the play.
