The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the last second Baldemer Sevilla throw himself and got hold of the ball when Edmundo Espiga in the 28thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baldemer Sevilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Samuel Negro hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Edmundo Espiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baldemer Sevilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baldemer Sevilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. After having played for 58 minutes, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Villa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Aysouraguán's Baldemer Sevilla. Baldemer Sevilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 64th minute of the match Honduras got a corner. Aysouraguán's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmundo Espiga ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Christian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldemer Sevilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. When the referee ended the match the Honduras players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
