But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Montenegro couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Tom Misaki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Pedro Manzanares successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tom Misaki might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tom Misaki ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 69th minute Tom Misaki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 minutes of play, C.A.Independiente's Tom Misaki made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Misaki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Ignacio Mastache dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Buford Lim, 2-3.
