La Scaloneta's Franco Moscatelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save La Scaloneta from getting a goal against them. In the 10th minute Enrique Rozarius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Luca Rouco hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Franco Moscatelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franco Moscatelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 21st minute of the match. La Scaloneta were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Enrique Rozarius took the corner. The corner led La Scaloneta's Enrique Rozarius to fire away a dangerous shot which Dante Lacasa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Franco Moscatelli made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Polat Aranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Tafalla scored 1-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franco Moscatelli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilberto Izel might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilberto Izel ran back to his position shaking his head. Enrique Rozarius struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Scaloneta. Franco Moscatelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 40th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of La Scaloneta:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mexico:s goal. The goalkeeper, Franco Moscatelli, was totally fooled by Mexico's Joel Gaona, who 43 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The supporters of Mexico booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enrique Rozarius made a kick off. Nicanor Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. The Mexico fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Mexico's Alberto Tafalla looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Franco Moscatelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Messi in the 58th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Polat Aranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franco Moscatelli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Mancebo went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 68th minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Franco Moscatelli. La Scaloneta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Mexico were furious when Luca Rouco was red carded, 75 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 74th minute, one of Mexico:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mexico. Gilberto Izel shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 79 minutes into the game, Nicanor Ramos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Scaloneta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. In the 79th minute, one of La Scaloneta:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for La Scaloneta. Franco Moscatelli had in the 80thth minute some difficulties stopping Joel Gaona's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Facundo Cadaval hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match.
