The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franco Moscatelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 13th minute of the match. Franco Moscatelli made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Facundo Cadaval sent off a good shot on target. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Franco Moscatelli firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gilberto Izel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, La Scaloneta's Franco Moscatelli got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Lorenzo Cazalla fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Lorenzo Cazalla a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. Damian Eduino was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 27 minutes into the match. Damian Eduino kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. Franco Moscatelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enrique Rozarius made a kick off. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. A collision led to La Scaloneta getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Nicanor Ramos hit a great ball. In the 54th minute of the match Joel Gaona shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franco Moscatelli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Lautaro Mancebo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franco Moscatelli was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Franco Moscatelli came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Polat Aranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Franco Moscatelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Luca Messi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Franco Moscatelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 89th minute Luca Messi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Scaloneta's Franco Moscatelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 91st minute of play. La Scaloneta's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
