Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rio Gallegos Unidos's goalkeeper Roman Iza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emilio Nuno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roman Iza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Iyan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rio Gallegos Unidos's Roman Iza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Iza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 32nd minute of play forced Rio Gallegos Unidos's goalkeeper Roman Iza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Iza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Iyan came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emilio Nuno got free with Julio Vera in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner led Rio Gallegos Unidos's Ubaldo Gilen to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rio Gallegos Unidos's Roman Iza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 39th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 41st minute. Emilio Nuno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 48th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roman Iza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Iyan to strike the kick off in the second half. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Iyan in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Rio Gallegos Unidos getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Paulino Mancio hit a great ball. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Iza having to interfere. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Rio Gallegos Unidos's goalkeeper Roman Iza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. Rio Gallegos Unidos's Roman Iza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Rio Gallegos Unidos from getting a goal against them. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Nuno in the 92nd minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rio Gallegos Unidos.
