The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Gaos during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 15 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Steffen Gimlinge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 21st minute. A collision led to Cougars FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Eustaquio Mede hit a great ball. Steffen Gimlinge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Steffen Gimlinge tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steffen Gimlinge, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Steffen Gimlinge scored 1-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Steffen Gimlinge managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cougars FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Steffen Gimlinge was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Steffen Gimlinge was the one to do the kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 58 minutes into the game, when Rigoberto Mina put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Cougars FC a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Steffen Gimlinge, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. 3-0. Eustaquio Mede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. When Cougars FC's Steffen Gimlinge in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Cougars FC made a substitution. Mehat Kovaçi replaced Steffen Gimlinge. Mehat Kovaçi scored 5-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Guillermo Mariano fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Guillermo Mariano a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cougars FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cougars FC's Angel Morales couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 86th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Venezuela. Eustaquio Mede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mehat Kovaçi in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Mehat Kovaçi put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cougars FC had played much better football throughout.
