The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Milosz Ikalewicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Cotilla was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. In the 9th minute Milosz Ikalewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Barrios during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th minute, Aaron Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute of the match Zbyszko Walkowski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Cotilla skillfully saved the ball. Dylan Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abraham Alguacil got free with Józef Wandzik in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Isidoro Sarmiento hit a great ball. Felipe Ros kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After 45 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. In the 46th minute of the match Zbyszko Walkowski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Cotilla skillfully saved the ball. Alex Cambeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Tomas Berganza sped through Cosmos 1984 NewDance's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Józef Wandzik. In the 58th minute, Tomas Berganza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Józef Wandzik was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a rather tough play, Panama's Aaron Barrios got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Zbyszko Walkowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cosmos 1984 NewDance's goalkeeper Józef Wandzik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Isidoro Sarmiento notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Józef Wandzik. Józef Wandzik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Przemyslaw Przybylo in the 74th minute of the match. The corner led Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Zbyszko Walkowski to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcos Cotilla despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Józef Wandzik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milosz Ikalewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 85th match minute, Cosmos 1984 NewDance was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Przemyslaw Przybylo to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Przemyslaw Przybylo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Józef Wandzik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Cosmos 1984 NewDance's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Józef Wandzik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cosmos 1984 NewDance's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
