Sancho Vivero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santino Seco in the 78th minute of play. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Simão das Neves took the corner. In the 91st minute Nofre Ibarrola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ludomil Majdoch made in the 95th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Alfred Rakowicz immediately put the ball in play. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
