Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ganga Banga in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Ganga Banga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Ganga Banga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Uruguay booed when SS SuperSonics was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boguslaw Motowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ganga Banga's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. 24 minutes in the game Jorge Sainz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Bruno Beldad. After 27 minutes of play, SS SuperSonics's Ganga Banga made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hugon Lenertej took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Gisbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ganga Banga in the 32nd minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Hugon Lenertej in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ganga Banga in the 35th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kevin Carballal tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Joaquin Gayoso. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-4 in the 38th minute. In the 40th match minute, SS SuperSonics was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szczepan Opat to maneuver through the defense. The Uruguay players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SS SuperSonics were winning 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ganga Banga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Hugon Lenertej showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Cazalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute of the match Uruguay got a corner. SS SuperSonics's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Cazalla ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hugon Lenertej showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 76th minute of the match. Hugon Lenertej showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Bogumil Misiorowski hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Jorge Sainz got a free kick in the 86th minute. When SS SuperSonics's Ganga Banga in 88 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing SS SuperSonics to win.
