Witney City's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After having played for 13 minutes, Tim Hurren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Witney City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tim Hurren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the game, Witney City's Tim Hurren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Witney City's Rex Lynam quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ivan Navarro, made in the 22nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Swanson in the 23rd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Tim Hurren got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 26 minutes into the game, Christian Sancho threw the ball into play from the sideline. Witney City's Trey Rowe quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 28th minute, but Lautaro Navarro got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Honduras hanging dry this time. Lautaro Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tim Hurren in the 29th minute. Tim Hurren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. Tim Hurren's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lautaro Navarro firmly grabbed it by the left post. 34 minutes into the match, Tim Hurren dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lautaro Navarro, 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. When Edmundo Espiga got free in front of the goal in the 52nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Tommy Bond was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After having played for 54 minutes, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Bolton in the 59th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Tim Hurren came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Igor Kyulafliyski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Hurren in the 74th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Swanson in the 76th minute of play. Tommy Bond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Bond saved Witney City from getting behind. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Tommy Bond in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tommy Bond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 84th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Bond was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. In a very dangerous position, a player in Honduras fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! Witney City's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
