An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 6th minute of play forced Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Irinel Mirciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Galati Harbour Cats defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Irinel Mirciu. The Galati Harbour Cats fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Irinel Mirciu should have stopped the shot. When Luz Tejedor came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luz Tejedor couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Irinel Mirciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shi Li fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. Irinel Mirciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 16th minute of play. Galati Harbour Cats's Irinel Mirciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 17th minute of play. Irinel Mirciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Irinel Mirciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Eliseo Mina got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquin Prats hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Galati Harbour Cats's Rogelio Inautzi got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Galati Harbour Cats's Irinel Mirciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Dan Petrescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galati Harbour Cats's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peru the free kick. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Irinel Mirciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Inautzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute Galati Harbour Cats were awarded a corner. Dan Petrescu went to the cornerflag to take it. Galati Harbour Cats's Dan Petrescu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rolando Noboa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 62 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Irinel Mirciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Rogelio Inautzi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galati Harbour Cats fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Dan Petrescu kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Inautzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Inautzi came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Petrescu made in the 77th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Rogelio Inautzi. In the 78th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irinel Mirciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Galati Harbour Cats's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eliseo Mina was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Eliseo Mina fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Irinel Mirciu quite easily take care of the ball. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shi Li in the 96th minute of play. In the 98thth minute of the game Shi Li who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Peru were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
