Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Sp. Mataderos's Victorino Geofredo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 minutes, Aldo Salomone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sp. Mataderos and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aldo Salomone kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Aldo Salomone kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victorino Geofredo went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Victorino Geofredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victorino Geofredo in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sp. Mataderos's Danilo Abeitia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 43rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victorino Geofredo got free with Julio Vera in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Abeitia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sp. Mataderos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Danilo Abeitia was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Luis Andino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luis Andino really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Leandro Lobo struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sp. Mataderos. Sp. Mataderos's Danilo Abeitia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Sp. Mataderos from getting a goal against them. In the 71st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Sp. Mataderos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Danilo Abeitia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 78 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Lobo came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Mogel in the 83rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maximiliano Oriche who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Sp. Mataderos's corner Maximiliano Oriche fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. After 87 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. In the 88th minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Oriche, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Geofredo in the 91st minute of play.
