If Erasmo Cordarin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Ignado having to interfere. Jaguar Murillo took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Pakorro AFC's Carlos Froila got a free kick in the 11th minute. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 17 minutes into the game, Aaron Barrios was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pakorro AFC the free kick. The supporters of Pakorro AFC booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Barrios didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perico Murillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Cotilla having to make a save. Jaguar Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Gustavo Hotz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla, 2-0. Ismael Ignado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isidoro Sarmiento went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Ismael Ignado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 28th minute of play. Jaguar Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. Ismael Ignado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erasmo Cordarin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Erasmo Cordarin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcos Cotilla came out and tried to block the shot, but Erasmo Cordarin slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Berganza made a kick off. Abraham Alguacil struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Ismael Ignado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Jaguar Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. In the 70th minute, Felipe Ros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the match, Jaguar Murillo notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 80 minutes, Elpidio Mino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pakorro AFC and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ismael Ignado acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 80th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Abraham Alguacil. Tomas Berganza might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ismael Ignado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Berganza ran back to his position shaking his head. 91 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Jaguar Murillo came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perico Murillo in the 92nd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pakorro AFC were furious when Prudencio Claus was red carded, 95 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pakorro AFC! In the 99th match minute, Pakorro AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Hitz to maneuver through the defense.
