The crowd rose to their feet as 刘战翔 kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-0 in the 41 minute of play. The supporters of Distribuidora 25 de mayo booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by 刘战翔 in the 52nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
