Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Liviu Vlăsiu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Niculae Dudău in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 8 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niculae Dudău was left in no man's land by his defense there! George Alupulesei hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Niculae Dudău made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Phoenix Alb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phoenix Alb scored 1-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Vlăsiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MINAS TIRITH's Niculae Dudău played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play. After 36 played minutes MINAS TIRITH got a freekick which was hit by Florin Nenciu. 43 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of MINAS TIRITH's Niculae Dudău. Niculae Dudău was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play.
