Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Hugo Lucian started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Caldebrazza's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alessandro Linares quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Andino in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alessandro Linares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alessandro Linares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis Andino's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. In the 10th minute Xavier Sabrosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Hugo Lucian sent off a good shot on target. 16 minutes into the match, Caldebrazza's Xavier Sabrosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xavier Sabrosa in the 18th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Hugo Lucian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caldebrazza's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Lucian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Anísio Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alessandro Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Caldebrazza's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Caldebrazza's goalie and right to Juan Sebastián Puig. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Caldebrazza's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caldebrazza's goalkeeper Alessandro Linares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alessandro Linares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alessandro Linares. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Alessandro Linares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 60 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alessandro Linares, 1-2. 64 minutes into the match, Caldebrazza's goalkeeper Alessandro Linares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Alessandro Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute Hugo Lucian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alessandro Linares made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Alessandro Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alessandro Linares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Caldebrazza's Alessandro Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 76th minute of play. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Alessandro Linares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After having played for 79 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 82 played minutes Caldebrazza got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Sabrosa. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Alessandro Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador played a much better game than Caldebrazza and deserved their victory. The Caldebrazza players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
