An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 11th minute of play forced Aster Brasil Futebol Club's goalkeeper Anísio Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anísio Souza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 14th minute. If Wesley Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinei Camargo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Sebastian Villa struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Anísio Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Nogueira in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Nogueira came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 50 minutes, Wesley Dante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aster Brasil Futebol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wesley Dante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 53 minutes into the game, Wesley Dante recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lautaro Navarro. Wesley Dante showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. After 60 minutes, Ivan Navarro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honduras and the Aster Brasil Futebol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Honduras:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Aster Brasil Futebol Club:s goal. Lautaro Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilberto Nogueira in the 64th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Aster Brasil Futebol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Anísio Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 94 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Navarro. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Aster Brasil Futebol Club eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
