Spectators: 11000 (Terracing: 8250, Seating: 2530, VIP seats: 220) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wilhelm Nienhaus started the match with the kick off. Hertha 1969 were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after FC Bal op het Dak's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Moritz Hasenjäger took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Moritz Hasenjäger got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Harvey Davies quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Harvey Davies showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 8th minute of the match. Joop Bakker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Rune Jarstein made a huge save. 23 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joop Bakker. In the 25th minute Artur Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Martijn August had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rune Jarstein. Hertha 1969's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martijn August was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Kjellman in the 34th minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rune Jarstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Kjellman, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Cobus Harding heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Harvey Davies showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristian Oswald in the 41st minute of the match. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Wilhelm Nienhaus sped through FC Bal op het Dak's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Harvey Davies. Rune Jarstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martijn August in the 46th minute of play. Rune Jarstein made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Dan Kjellman sent off a good shot on target. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

FC Bal op het Dak's Marick Brunt was substituted for Shaq Francis. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dan Kjellman to make the kick off. Harvey Davies showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 57th minute of the match. Rune Jarstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martijn August, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Paulo da Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Bal op het Dak's Iwan Valentijn was substituted for Martijn August. FC Bal op het Dak made a substitution. José Luis Brown replaced Válbson Almeida. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iwan Valentijn in the 65th minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC Bal op het Dak getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Artur Mendes hit a great ball. Harvey Davies made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Wilhelm Nienhaus sent off a good shot on target. Rune Jarstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joop Bakker in the 71st minute of play. When FC Bal op het Dak's Iwan Valentijn in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hertha 1969's goalie prevented a goal. FC Bal op het Dak's Harvey Davies proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Bal op het Dak from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 87th minute of play forced FC Bal op het Dak's goalkeeper Harvey Davies to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rune Jarstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iwan Valentijn, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Rune Jarstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwan Valentijn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rune Jarstein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iwan Valentijn in the 97th minute of the match. The referee's whistle sounded for the end of the second half. The match was tied at 1-1. None of the players looked happy at the prospect of extra-time.

With new strength the players walked out on the field for the first half of overtime. Rupert Heidingsfelder in Hertha 1969 was the one to initiate the kick off. Rune Jarstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joop Bakker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 102 minutes, Dan Kjellman took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Rune Jarstein to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Bal op het Dak fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hertha 1969 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
