After 14 played minutes Squadra Demarchi got a freekick which was hit by Richard Moura. The referee felt a red card was in order, 16 minutes into the game, when Sérgio Batista put in a rough tackle. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Squadra Demarchi! The referee gave La Scaloneta a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Apolo Aurken, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha. 0-1. 22 minutes into the game, Claudinho Pinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Squadra Demarchi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Scaloneta the free kick. In the 22nd match minute, Squadra Demarchi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinho Pinho to maneuver through the defense. Ariel Ubendu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Oscar Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oscar Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Aurken in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Aurken in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, Squadra Demarchi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Aurken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Aurken, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Ariel Ubendu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oscar Saldanha came out and tried to block the shot, but Ariel Ubendu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 68th minute. In the 73rd minute Claudinho Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Bemabe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Júnior Meirelles came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Squadra Demarchi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júnior Meirelles couldn't finish the play. Nilson Corrêa hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. When La Scaloneta's Julián Álvarez in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A hard shot 94 in the game by Julián Álvarez from a close distance when the talented Oscar Saldanha managed to make a qualified save. Squadra Demarchi's players were relieved.

The Squadra Demarchi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. La Scaloneta were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
