Luiz Eduardo Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Eduardo Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Gerrie Kuijsten notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Pesqueira City's Enéas Borges. Enéas Borges was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Serge Buring showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goal looked a bit too open when Bebeto Mendes came free, but Serge Buring reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Mathijs Looze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luizão Pesqueira succeeded in the game's 29th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Enéas Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerrie Kuijsten, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Luizão Pesqueira struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Serge Buring didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pesqueira City. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldo Guimarães was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Guimarães had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serge Buring. Ágætis Byrjun's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronaldo Guimarães was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Ágætis Byrjun's Sjoerd Ottenhof suffered a sore thigh after 59 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Bebeto Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pesqueira City's protests and gave Bebeto Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. Ágætis Byrjun made a substitution. Brain Diest replaced Sjoerd Ottenhof. The supporters of Ágætis Byrjun booed when Pesqueira City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bebeto Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gerrie Kuijsten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathijs Looze's late challenge caught a Pesqueira City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathijs Looze helped the player get up and apologised. After 67 played minutes Ágætis Byrjun got a freekick which was hit by Mathijs Looze. After a rather tough play, Ágætis Byrjun's Robin Willemsen got a free kick in the 72nd minute. When Jurgen Oorschot was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 75 minutes had been played. After 75 played minutes Ágætis Byrjun got a freekick which was hit by Jurgen Oorschot. In the 82nd minute of the match Pesqueira City got a corner. Ágætis Byrjun's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ronaldo Guimarães ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Luiz Eduardo Santos heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Rômulo de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Serge Buring made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldo Guimarães in the 91st minute.

The Pesqueira City players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
