An unexpectedly hard shot by Lóránd Szarka in the 6th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthew Garrido to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dániel Vörös in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the Panama defense, József Pál kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. Domonkos Sörös showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. A collision led to 12 Angry Men getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Bálint Hujber hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute of the match, József Pál tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Cotilla saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 12 Angry Men's Domonkos Sörös played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 84th minute of play. The 12 Angry Men supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing 12 Angry Men would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
