In the 22nd minute Teo Venceslas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Peru were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. LA LUZ F.C.'s Miguel Ángel Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save LA LUZ F.C. from getting a goal against them. Felipe Haitz hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After 56 minutes of play, Peru's Milagros Fraga made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Miguel Ángel Torres was left in no man's land by his defense there! 62 minutes in the game, Eliseo Mina fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Miguel Ángel Torres having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Miguel Ángel Torres successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Ángel Torres having to interfere. Miguel Ángel Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Atilla Açıkalın had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa.
