Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. The Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Corinthians Colombiano booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gelmiro Amezaga hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reynardo Gaceo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Ocio in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 31st minute of play forced Corinthians Colombiano's goalkeeper Reynardo Gaceo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynardo Gaceo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hanni Arena in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 56 minutes into the match, Felipo Villasuso notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 60th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. In the 63rd minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Reynardo Gaceo. Reynardo Gaceo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. After having played for 66 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. If Hanni Arena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orçun Özbilir kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-6. Reynardo Gaceo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute, Hanni Arena made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-6. 82 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Reynardo Gaceo, 3-7. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Corinthians Colombiano lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
