When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the match, La Maquina 9-12-18's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Jose Vimaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Bastien Domenge came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jose Vimaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Lautaro Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jose Vimaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in La Maquina 9-12-18's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Vimaro came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 26th minute of play forced La Maquina 9-12-18's goalkeeper Jose Vimaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Vimaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 30th minute of play. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Bastien Domenge came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the La Maquina 9-12-18 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bastien Domenge couldn't finish the play. 46 minutes into the game, Felix Luque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Maquina 9-12-18 the free kick. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Felix Luque hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 54th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Luque to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Mexico booed when La Maquina 9-12-18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Korthsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jose Vimaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lorenzo Cazalla in the 58th minute. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Lorenzo Cazalla took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Jose Vimaro to make any attempt to save it. In the 67th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jose Vimaro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 68th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jose Vimaro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Vachon, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 81 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Vachon came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. After 85 played minutes La Maquina 9-12-18 got a freekick which was hit by Dario Gelacio. After 95 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
