When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Agustín Saelices sped through The Power Guido FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Enéas Soeiro. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alonzo Carrillos charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alonzo Carrillos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th match minute, The Power Guido FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Carrillos to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
