Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. 7 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Erling Lewandowski came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Iakovos Efthimiadis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Scarafia Ghost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of USA booed when Go Ahead Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateusz Zabrzeski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Monty Rogers in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Scarafia Ghost prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dani Carbajal in the 26th minute of play. After having played for 30 minutes, Monty Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Monty Rogers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Bot came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 played minutes Go Ahead Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Vural Akyol. In the 37th minute, Facundo Bot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 43rd minute of play. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erling Lewandowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After a rather tough play, Go Ahead Eagles's Cássio Gonçalves got a free kick in the 47th minute.

If Erling Lewandowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erling Lewandowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Amorebieta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 57 minutes into the game, USA's Monty Rogers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Scarafia Ghost made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 62nd minute, Fernando Amorebieta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Giorgos Kontodimos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Bot in the 78th minute of play. After 78 minutes, Iustin Bâru made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. USA's Marco Day tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. In the 92nd minute, Jenson Smith hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giorgos Kontodimos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. USA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
