Jailson Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wellington de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jailson Rossi. In the 23rd match minute, Mayhem Sharks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo da Mata to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wellington de Almeida was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wellington de Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. After having played for 41 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fachtna Duggan. Jailson Rossi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Wellington de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Daniel Zorita scored 1-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wellington de Almeida, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fachtna Duggan to make the kick off. Narciso Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After 64 minutes Mayhem Sharks's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wellington de Almeida quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to Mayhem Sharks getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Fachtna Duggan hit a great ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mayhem Sharks made a substitution. Luís Fabiano de Andrade replaced Fachtna Duggan. After 78 played minutes Mayhem Sharks got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo da Mata. Ian de Castro's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ian de Castro helped the player get up and apologised. Wellington de Almeida was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 1-4. In the 84th minute, Arcadio Valdés hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Mayhem Sharks's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wellington de Almeida came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wellington de Almeida. That made the score 1-5 after 95 minutes of play. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
