Jose Vimaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jose Vimaro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Carmelo Vachon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 41st minute of play forced La Maquina 9-12-18's goalkeeper Jose Vimaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Albert Gaardahl to strike the kick off in the second half. Jose Vimaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 94th minute. The La Maquina 9-12-18 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
