Filiberto Quintas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Osvaldo Alonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barto Torrent in the 25th minute of play. After 34 minutes, Dalmu Titos made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute, Jaime Pardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute, Ildefonso Camacho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience was convinced that Jaime Pardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filiberto Quintas was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Barto Torrent hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Osvaldo Alonso made in the 55th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Barto Torrent immediately put the ball in play. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barto Torrent in the 56th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Dalmu Titos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. When Dalmu Titos fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Antonio 1961 FC's protests and gave Dalmu Titos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Antonio 1961 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xaiver Balboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Osvaldo Alonso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Antonio 1961 FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Alonso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the match, Dalmu Titos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jacobo Nores, 3-4. After 87 played minutes Antonio 1961 FC got a freekick which was hit by Xaiver Balboa. Jaime Pardo, 88 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Filiberto Quintas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Pardo's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. After a rather tough play, Antonio 1961 FC's Xaiver Balboa got a free kick in the 96th minute. Chants of Antonio 1961 FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Paraguay had held the ball for most of the match.
