Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Laércio Penha kicked off to start the match. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 9th minute of play. Mickaël Maris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 11th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laércio Penha went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 21stth minute of the game Laércio Penha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Laércio Penha fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Nova Iguaçu MZFC from getting a goal against them. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ovidio Marko in the 37 minute of the game. Emmanuel Reyes made in the 39th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Milagros Fraga. 43 minutes into the game, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Laércio Penha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The Peru players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nova Iguaçu MZFC were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Laércio Penha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa. Laércio Penha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. The supporters of Peru booed when Nova Iguaçu MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ödön Zsinka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mickaël Maris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Heitor Ferreira got a throw-in 57 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luiz Fábio de Medeiros. Mickaël Maris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luz Tejedor's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Heitor Ferreira threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Luz Tejedor quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mickaël Maris, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 70th minute of the match Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luiz Fábio de Medeiros ran over to the corner to take the kick. 74 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Penha came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Laércio Penha. But to his dismay, Laércio Penha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Mickaël Maris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Gallo in the 91st minute of the match. Peru's Alonso Berganza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Heitor Ferreira, made in the 93rd minute of the game. The supporters of Peru booed when Nova Iguaçu MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heitor Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nova Iguaçu MZFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
