Acratas Unidos's Igor Ospetsu got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Matthias Vall came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Xavier Figueroa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthias Vall in the 18th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matthias Vall got free with Thiago Pliego in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Margus Paukson came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Carlitos Parodi made a huge save.
