But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Goizeder couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the match, Curacao's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Goizeder came free, but Bruno Barrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 46 minutes, Jaime Obano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MARADONA sublime 1986's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Obano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Curacao players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MARADONA sublime 1986 were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kyle Davies to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Inautzi in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Barrett saved Curacao from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanley Wallace in the 55th minute of play forced MARADONA sublime 1986's goalkeeper Victor Arixo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Barrett was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Candido Arnau showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 56 minute of play. Eduardo Chap fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barrett having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabian Inautzi. In the 79th minute, Eduardo Chap got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Obano got free with Bruno Barrett in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eduardo Chap fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barrett having to interfere. In the 87thth minute of the game Eduardo Chap who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curacao's Bruno Barrett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Curacao defense, Fabian Inautzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Barrett. The Curacao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Barrett should have stopped the shot. When Benito Llorienzo came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the MARADONA sublime 1986 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benito Llorienzo couldn't finish the play. The Curacao fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. MARADONA sublime 1986 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
