Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 9th minute, Gianluca Vialli made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 17th minute Gianluca Vialli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Falckner FC's corner Marco Bilbo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Falckner FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julien Steuble didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 27th match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Gabrio to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Gianluca Vialli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Falckner FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gianluca Vialli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Falckner FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 57 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Falckner FC the free kick. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Falckner FC's Alberto Edorta was substituted for Gianluca Vialli. The supporters of Falckner FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julien Steuble to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Loco De la Maza having to make a save. Alex Chicote made in the 84th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Patricio Costa immediately put the ball in play. Alberto Edorta might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Edorta ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Edorta in the 92nd minute of play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, Alberto Edorta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Edorta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Falckner FC fully deserved thier win.
