Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gualterio Loco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gualterio Loco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Montenegro went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gualterio Loco saved Quebrachitos FC from getting behind. 39 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gualterio Loco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Celedonio Gaizkine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paul George kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Agustín Saelices was extremely unlucky when he, in the 86th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 87 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Bernabe Herauso kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Quebrachitos FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Felix Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Gualterio Loco, making the score, 0-12.
