Jose Vimaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Covarrubias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albert Gaardahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, La Maquina 9-12-18's Albert Gaardahl sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Gaardahl in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th minute Albert Gaardahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albert Gaardahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. Dario Gelacio hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Ahmet Baki Tecimer kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Carmelo Vachon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Hector Covarrubias succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 29th playminute. 32 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Gaardahl came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. La Maquina 9-12-18 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
