With an all-out effort, Campania Ponticelli's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Michael Scofield, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto De Marchi having to interfere. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Campania Ponticelli fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Campania Ponticelli's Luca Toni looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto De Marchi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. 25 minutes into the match, Felice Apicella dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luca Toni in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fausto De Marchi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Luca Toni dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felice Apicella in the 40th minute of the match. Campania Ponticelli were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Corrado Colagrossi took the corner. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Fausto De Marchi in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Alexander Frabetti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Fausto De Marchi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 58th minute. If Michael Scofield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th match minute, Campania Ponticelli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Frabetti to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Tomas Illescas took a quick shot and it went in 5-1 without a chance for Fausto De Marchi to make any attempt to save it. Giorgio Petrini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Frabetti, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Fausto De Marchi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alexander Frabetti got in the 77th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jonathan Ferrant handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 77 minutes, Alexander Frabetti made it 6-1 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Toni in the 80th minute of the match. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Corrado Colagrossi was slow to take the kick. During this time Campania Ponticelli's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Corrado Colagrossi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Fausto De Marchi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. After 93 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. The supporters of Campania Ponticelli booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball.
