The supporters of Jaru-Uaru booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 39 minutes, Mo Ning De managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaru-Uaru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mo Ning De was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Luís Fernando Vides ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Koppány Selymes, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Venezuela's attentive Salvador Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Enrique Toledo made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. Jaru-Uaru's Otávio Dante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Jaru-Uaru from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Mendes in the 56th minute of play. After 65 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Cardoso came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Jaru-Uaru fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when Jaru-Uaru's Nicasio Abreu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Jaru-Uaru's Nicasio Abreu. But to his dismay, Nicasio Abreu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The audience was convinced that Nicasio Abreu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Jaru-Uaru were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mo Ning De took the corner. After taking down the ball on Jaru-Uaru's corner Koppány Selymes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. Jaru-Uaru had won after a very even match.
