Brian Falck was slow to take the kick. During this time Swindon Sweden FF's players had a chance to rest. Reynaldo Tino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Östman in the 24th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Östman in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Tino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcus Östman in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. A collision led to Swindon Sweden FF getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Brian Falck hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 43rd minute of play forced Swindon Sweden FF's goalkeeper Reynaldo Tino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45thth minute of the game Brian Falck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcus Östman to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcus Östman's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. In the 54th minute of the match Brian Falck sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Marcus Östman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Reynaldo Tino in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 66 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Reynaldo Tino managed to make a qualified save. Swindon Sweden FF's players were relieved. Daniel Zorita was extremely unlucky when he, in the 70th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Swindon Sweden FF made a substitution. Sten Jespersson replaced Sven-Erik Lindberg. Reynaldo Tino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 85th minute of the match. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Swindon Sweden FF's goalkeeper Reynaldo Tino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Tino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Swindon Sweden FF's Reynaldo Tino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 93rd minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
