Miltiadis Panagoulias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when John Ibaute came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when John Ibaute got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 17th minute, Vassilis Vouzas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. John Ibaute sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olympiacos FC's John Ibaute was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 24th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 27 minutes, Camilo Gaos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Olympiacos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Olympiacos FC's Hafiz Abou Adal couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 28th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Venezuela. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Ibaute, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Christos Vidalis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Olympiacos FC's John Ibaute nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Ibaute, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. John Ibaute was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Michalis Savouras sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. 57 minutes into the game, Olympiacos FC's John Ibaute nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christos Vidalis in the 60th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Ibaute, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John Ibaute fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 65th match minute, Olympiacos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vassilis Kouzoulidis to maneuver through the defense. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. The throw-in from Vassilis Vouzas in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Jose Correa. In the 83rdth minute of the game John Ibaute who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olympiacos FC's goalkeeper Miltiadis Panagoulias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Michalis Savouras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when John Ibaute came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Correa during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. In the 97th minute, John Ibaute made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Olympiacos FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
