When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Albert Gaardahl put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Demonde Jacobson. The La Maquina 9-12-18 fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when La Maquina 9-12-18's Albert Gaardahl looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Albert Gaardahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Demonde Jacobson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albert Gaardahl in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Demonde Jacobson saved Jamaica from getting behind. If Albert Gaardahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Igor Ignazio fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Maquina 9-12-18's protests and gave Igor Ignazio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, Igor Ignazio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute Ahmet Baki Tecimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demonde Jacobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Ahmet Baki Tecimer came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the La Maquina 9-12-18 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Baki Tecimer couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Carmelo Vachon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Maquina 9-12-18 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Albert Gaardahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, Albert Gaardahl lined in a short shot 0-9 behind a frustrated Demonde Jacobson. After 83 minutes, Geroy Ascue mouthed his way into the referee's book. La Maquina 9-12-18's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
