Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gorka Mendieta kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Seco to maneuver through the defense. When Cotinguiba Esporte Clube-'s Cristiano Barbosa in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristiano Barbosa in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gorka Mendieta might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gorka Mendieta ran back to his position shaking his head. 7 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Gorka Mendieta came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cotinguiba Esporte Clube-'s goalkeeper Hauk Thuen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cotinguiba Esporte Clube-'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Cazalla was slow to take the kick. During this time Uruguay's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Uruguay's corner Jaime Cazalla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hauk Thuen quite easily take care of the ball. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Severo in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute, Gorka Mendieta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Barbosa in the 21st minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Gayoso had great luck who in the 23rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Gorka Mendieta from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 32nd minute, Cristiano Barbosa made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute Ronald Groneberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Uruguay's Francisco Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hauk Thuen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cotinguiba Esporte Clube-'s Hauk Thuen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Cotinguiba Esporte Clube- from getting a goal against them. 87 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Severo came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
