In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 22 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Andréas Linquist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gedeon Káposztás could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. 29 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Andréas Linquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 35th minute of the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Andréas Linquist made a huge save. 56 minutes into the match, Grêmio Papão de WC's goalkeeper Andréas Linquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. 65 minutes into the match, Grêmio Papão de WC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Andréas Linquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grêmio Papão de WC's Andréas Linquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 68th minute of play. In the 68th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andréas Linquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andréas Linquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 88th minute, Marcus Rashford made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. In the 92nd minute José Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 minutes of play, Peru's Antonio Tenorio made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andréas Linquist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
