The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. It was a penalty for Los Irrompibles! Juan Sebastián Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Fabricio Lawrence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 22 played minutes Ecuador's Daniel Zorita stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Fabricio Lawrence stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Los Irrompibles of the goal. Daniel Zorita's late challenge caught a Los Irrompibles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Zorita helped the player get up and apologised. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zakariás Lányi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Zakariás Lányi fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Julio Vera, passed just outside the right post. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Lawrence having to interfere. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Fabricio Lawrence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Montenegro scored 2-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabricio Lawrence, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fabricio Lawrence was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julio Vera had great luck who in the 74thth minute grab hold of the ball when Zakariás Lányi from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 80 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. 81 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Zakariás Lányi came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabricio Lawrence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 86th minute of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
