After 3 played minutes Szombathely Squirrels got a freekick which was hit by Szilárd Csikós. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Labaras in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Róbert Kormos saved Szombathely Squirrels from getting behind. In the 5thth minute of the game Armando Labaras who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Szombathely Squirrels's Róbert Kormos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Loco Team FC were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Szombathely Squirrels's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ubelteso Gainzarain took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Ubelteso Gainzarain got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Róbert Kormos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 9th match minute, Szombathely Squirrels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lajos Jakó to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute Armando Labaras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbert Kormos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 minutes, Lajos Domonkos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Szombathely Squirrels and the Loco Team FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Szombathely Squirrels's Róbert Kormos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Labaras in the 16th minute of play. But to his dismay, Armando Labaras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Róbert Kormos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lekubegi Bollo in the 29th minute of the match. In the 34th minute Mihály Földesi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Sesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Róbert Kormos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lekubegi Bollo, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After some careless play in the Loco Team FC defense, Zsolt Vörös kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camilo Sesto. The Loco Team FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camilo Sesto should have stopped the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Lekubegi Bollo came free, but Róbert Kormos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute Armando Labaras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbert Kormos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mihály Földesi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ubelteso Gainzarain got free with Róbert Kormos in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Olivér Cselényi fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Szombathely Squirrels's protests and gave Olivér Cselényi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd match minute, Szombathely Squirrels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olivér Cselényi to maneuver through the defense.
