With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Luís Fernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Armando Labaras who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Pedro Luís Fernandez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Armando Labaras kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Neil Mar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camilo Sesto. Loco Team FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Neil Mar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Armando Labaras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Pedro Luís Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 19 played minutes Marzagão got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Saraiva. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubelteso Gainzarain in the 20th minute of play forced Marzagão's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Luís Fernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ysidro Cuenllas's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. When Armando Labaras came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Loco Team FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Labaras couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberto Prado during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Loco Team FC booed when Marzagão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Marzagão getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Alfredinho Quintal hit a great ball. Pedro Luís Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubelteso Gainzarain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lekubegi Bollo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Armando Labaras's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Luís Fernandez was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. With his leg Pedro Luís Fernandez managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Loco Team FC's Armando Labaras fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Camilo Sesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano de Queiroz in the 43rd minute of play. Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lekubegi Bollo in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Marzagão's Serafim Reis was substituted for Alfredinho Quintal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armando Labaras made a kick off. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Armando Labaras sped through Marzagão's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Luís Fernandez. Ubelteso Gainzarain hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Ubelteso Gainzarain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Marzagão getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Fabiano de Queiroz hit a great ball. Pedro Luís Fernandez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Labaras went, in the 99th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Loco Team FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
