Ciriaco Bernal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Szombathely Squirrels's zone, Melquiades Orixe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Róbert Kormos came out of the goal and Melquiades Orixe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Szombathely Squirrels's Lajos Jakó got a free kick in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Szombathely Squirrels's zone, Melquiades Orixe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Róbert Kormos came out of the goal and Melquiades Orixe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 25 minutes of play, Szombathely Squirrels's Dénes Boross made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ciriaco Bernal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ciriaco Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Szilárd Csikós in the 30th minute of the match. Ciriaco Bernal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zsolt Vörös went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 35th minute, Dénes Boross got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Szombathely Squirrels getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Mihály Csontos hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the game, Mihály Földesi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Ciriaco Bernal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dénes Boross scored 0-6 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciriaco Bernal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Leones FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Szombathely Squirrels were winning 0-6.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Melquiades Orixe to strike the kick off in the second half. Róbert Kormos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melquiades Orixe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mihály Földesi in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciriaco Bernal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ciriaco Bernal made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Mihály Földesi sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Leones FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Atilano Perico hit a great ball. With 66 minutes on the clock, Sixto Santxol commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 67th minute, Ferenc Jászberényi sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Leones FC's Ciriaco Bernal didn't even have to move. Ciriaco Bernal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zsolt Vörös showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-10 in the 94 minute of play. When the match was over Szombathely Squirrels could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Leones FC throughout the match.
