Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Harry Igelström started the match with the kick off. Sven-Ove Fernkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 5 played minutes Kingpins got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Ove Fernkvist. Mattias Asserlind was a little too slow when Dénes Boross got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. The supporters of Kingpins booed when Szombathely Squirrels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zsolt Vörös didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 played minutes, Kingpins's Sven Bållström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Róbert Kormos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kingpins reached it. When Krisztián György fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Szombathely Squirrels's protests and gave Krisztián György a yellow card for diving instead. The audience was convinced that Harry Igelström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Róbert Kormos was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. After 15 minutes Szombathely Squirrels's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sven Bållström who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Kingpins's Magnus Mus getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Magnus Mus during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kingpins's Magnus Mus got a free kick in the 16th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Igelström came free, but Róbert Kormos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Róbert Kormos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harry Igelström in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute of the match Sven Bållström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Róbert Kormos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Róbert Kormos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Igelström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 minutes, Gusztáv Győrffy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Szombathely Squirrels and the Kingpins players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Szombathely Squirrels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gusztáv Győrffy to maneuver through the defense. Gusztáv Győrffy hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute of the match Magnus Mus sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Róbert Kormos skillfully saved the ball. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Róbert Kormos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 35 minutes of play, Kingpins's Titus Pullo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Róbert Kormos was left in no man's land by his defense there! 38 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Titus Pullo came free, but Róbert Kormos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute Harry Igelström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbert Kormos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 minutes of play, Kingpins's Harry Igelström made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Róbert Kormos was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Kingpins were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Kingpins made a substitution. Mikael Ekeberg replaced Harry Igelström. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mihály Földesi to make the kick off. Mikael Ekeberg was extremely unlucky when he, in the 55th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mikael Ekeberg in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Róbert Kormos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kingpins's Titus Pullo got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Róbert Kormos was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Titus Pullo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Titus Pullo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Szombathely Squirrels's Róbert Kormos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Titus Pullo in the 68th minute of play. With a little luck, Szombathely Squirrels's Róbert Kormos got control of the ball when Mikael Ekeberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kingpins's Sven Bållström couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 71st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Szombathely Squirrels. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zsolt Vörös in the 73rd minute of play forced Kingpins's goalkeeper Mattias Asserlind to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 76 minutes, Titus Pullo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kingpins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Titus Pullo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Titus Pullo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Róbert Kormos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Róbert Kormos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven Bållström in the 82nd minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match Szombathely Squirrels got a corner. Kingpins's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ferenc Jászberényi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Titus Pullo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Róbert Kormos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kingpins's Mattias Asserlind played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dénes Boross in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Bållström in the 93rd minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Róbert Kormos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Kingpins's Sven Bållström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Róbert Kormos. Róbert Kormos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Kingpins's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
