Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Algirdas Brazauskas in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Luís Fernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 19 minutes, Algirdas Brazauskas made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. FC COSA NOSTRA's Deividas Tarailis got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Luís Fernandez stood somewhat misplaced when Algirdas Brazauskas came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 24 minute. Alfredas Malakauskas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Fernandez having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Marzagão's goal looked a bit too open when Algirdas Brazauskas came free, but Pedro Luís Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31stth minute of the game Alfredo Esteves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC COSA NOSTRA's Miglius Beržinis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Algirdas Brazauskas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Pedro Luís Fernandez made a huge save. After 36 played minutes Marzagão got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano de Queiroz. In the 42nd minute Fabiano de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miglius Beržinis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Marzagão booed when FC COSA NOSTRA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustas Ogintas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neil Mar might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miglius Beržinis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Neil Mar ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

53 minutes into the match, FC COSA NOSTRA's goalkeeper Miglius Beržinis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Esteves. Pedro Luís Fernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Algirdas Brazauskas's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Alberto Prado hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Alfredas Malakauskas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Pedro Luís Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
