The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leo Pihlwall blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciriaco Bernal having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Åhlberg in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciriaco Bernal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 5th minute, Eric Boberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciriaco Bernal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ciriaco Bernal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Pihlwall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustaf Olofsson made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Ambrosio Peio sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute, Leo Pihlwall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gavino Gartzea's late challenge caught a Wyoming Cowboys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gavino Gartzea helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Wyoming Cowboys booed when Leones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavino Gartzea didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Wyoming Cowboys's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Gartzea came free, but Gustaf Olofsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciriaco Bernal came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Wyoming Cowboys's Thomas Åhlberg. But to his dismay, Thomas Åhlberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Boberg in the 29th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Ciriaco Bernal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leo Pihlwall scored 0-3 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciriaco Bernal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Eric Boberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciriaco Bernal. Leones FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eric Boberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. 40 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Boberg came free, but Ciriaco Bernal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Gavino Gartzea got a free kick in the 41st minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Melquiades Orixe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Melquiades Orixe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Pihlwall came free, but Ciriaco Bernal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gavino Gartzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Orixe in the 63rd minute of play forced Wyoming Cowboys's goalkeeper Gustaf Olofsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciriaco Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Boberg in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Pihlwall in the 68th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Ciriaco Bernal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciriaco Bernal was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Thomas Åhlberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Thomas Åhlberg really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Ciriaco Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Örjan Bokelund in the 79th minute of the match. When the match was over Wyoming Cowboys could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Leones FC throughout the match.
